I disappointed my bro

My cousin called me through phone few minutes back. He informed me about the party he is hosting tonight. He insisted me to join the party tonight with my wife. Since i have work I could not respond him properly. I was sad that I disappointed my cousin. Hope my cousin will understand my situation. Tomorrow after finishing my work I will meet him and inform him about my work . Hope he will not be angry with me. When I asked my wife whether she could join the party ,she said no. I could not force her and she doesn’t like me forcing her.
