My mom is not interested

As I already mentioned you all my mom will be traveling to Italy to take care of my grandfather this weekend. Since my grandfather is not well my dad has asked my mom to stay with my grand father for few weeks. My mom is not interested in the trip since she is very attached to the family it is not possible for her to miss a single moment without without seeing us. I do not know the reason why my dad is forcing my mom to stay with my grand dad.
